Matilda had such fun first birthday celebrations! On her actual birthday we got to celebrate in Pennsylvania with Nana and Papa. She loved the pumpkin spice cake with cream cheese icing...a yummier take on her dad's favorite b-day cake, spice cake with peanut butter frosting (yuck!!).

As you can see...she was not shy about digging in!! My kind of girl!!











And the next weekend we had her birthday party with all of her friends from home. It was a "color" party. Everyone came wearing their favorite color. She loved playing with Everett, Posey, Ian, Anabelle, Mirelle, Ayva, and baby Isaac. And she really loved that they helped her with blowing out candles and opening presents. She was very interested in learning all these tricks for when she is a big kid someday! It was such a blast! They were even kind enough to bring her some amazing gifts...we were so grateful all our friends could come and help us celebrate our sweet girl! I still can't believe she is one! AH!!
