disney...part 1

so, these posts are a little late {like 2 months}...but, i must post them for our record, for my family, for neila, and so that i can MOVE ON with my blog-life!! so, let us go back in time to some fun we had...

that pretty much sums up our entire day!

        matilda giving her entry ticket

disney just has a way of making you feel like you are stepping through the looking glass.  i just love all the detail that they put into every corner of the park.  even the bathrooms!!  i went to the bathroom (i forget which land, probably fantasyland...haha) near Alice in Wonderland and they had playing card tiles along the wall as a border, a queen of hearts light fixture, and each stall had a different playing card on it...talk about details!!  and that was just the bathroom!!
i guess it just really makes you feel like something wonderful is happening all around you and you just get to enjoy it and have fun!

this whole adventure started because david had been working in CA for a few months.  so, instead of him commuting back home that week, matilda and i decided that we would go visit him for the week, and have an adventure!

so, here we are at the entrance to disneyland...ready for a day of fun!  it was such a bright, sunny day...

...and luckily grandma and grandpa sorich flew down from UT to spend the weekend with us.  it was so much fun to see them again!

the first thing we did was get in line for the Dumbo ride.  i thought matilda would love it, but boy was i wrong!  she just clung to david all the way through the line and then held on for dear life the whole way through the ride.  it was semi-comical to me.  she is just a girl that loves to be in control and find her OWN way through things.  what a funny kid!

so, for the remainder of the time, i thought it would be wise for us to ALL go on the rides.  so, this is what we did...

finally happy now that she has some grapes...the staff of M's life!!
