i'm glad...

...that someone in this house is organized and put together!

matilda was taking a leisurely bath full of playing, singing, and talking to her toys...it was all so sweet as i was listening to her while i tidied up the house before bed. then to my delight i stumbled upon this scene and just had to document it!



just one of the quirky little things about miss matilda...she loves a good organizing project! she has been this way since she was very little...must be one of her special gifts! since she was small she has always wanted to group and organize things. she loves to clean my cupboards and put everything back where it goes. she even borders on the obsessive sometimes, and organizing...as shown here...even creeps into her alone/play time. she has been known to have a compelling need to make over all the shelves and displays at stores...even to the point of her own frustration that she can't always get it exactly right. as david always says..."she likes it the way she likes it"! and i have to agree! we think she is pretty cute!



so proud of herself...it seems like she had a plan all along!




apparently the yellow ones were "yucky" so they were banished to the bag...crazy yellow's!!



and probably my favorite was the fact that the ships were all stacked together and the ducks were organized in little groups. yellow ducks together...and the blue duck and the red octopus together...what clever friends!



i think i may love this later in life when she has to keep her room clean!
