charlie at 6 and 7

isn't he darling??? i couldn't decide which picture was better, so you get both! he is just so cute with his pilot hat and all those stripes...love him!!

i can't believe that my little man is 7 months old this week! he is growing so much and changing every day.

the stats... (circa 6 month appt....i'm behind a little!!)

weight: 17.5 pounds
height: 26.5 inches
head: 17.5 inches and growing some cute brown hair...finally!

charlie is the happiest, sweetest, and most charming boy in the world! he loves to smile. and he loves to engage everyone and see what they are all about. he has a contagious laugh and loves to be tickled just about anywhere. this boy loves attention... which he comes by naturally!

he has started eating solids and LOVES food! he thinks he can just jump right into everyone's plates and truly thinks that he is BIG! he has loved all his first tastes and we are now working on introducing some dairy and pasta. he loves when matilda feeds him puffs and thinks that she is so wonderful and amazing...which she is!! he has two bottom teeth and loves to put everything in his mouth and taste it to make sure that it passes inspection.



charlie loves to play and we are constantly amazed at how much our little guy can scoot around. i fear we are in for trouble once he learns to crawl! he also loves his blankets and burpies and always has to have one around while he is sleeping. they are his comfort...which is good because he doesn't take a pacifier. he is our rolling baby. you never know where you will find him when you go in after a nap. he is always turned around, upside down, and rolled to the end of the crib. but, he has settled into a great routine of sleeping and eating and has proven to be such an easy boy!

our mister has also been learning lots of new things lately! he loves to play peekaboo and has taken to hiding himself under lots of things...especially his blankets! he loves to play "where is charlie?" to the tune of "where is thumbkin?" and we cover his head with his blanket before we start singing and he knows just when to pull it off...too cute! he also loves to be held in the air by his dad and to lay anywhere upside down. he really is so funny!!

it is so fun and interesting to have two children! the differences and similarities are astounding!



they both love the outdoors, reading, eating, wrestling, snuggling, and singing. i have noticed a weird quirk since charlie was born...both of my kids poop at the same time every day. this may be tmi, but i find it so quirky. david thinks i'm sick for noticing this...and he may be right...but you can't deny the facts!!

these two love each other so much! charlie lives for matilda. he lights up when he hears her voice and he loves to watch her do all kinds of big kid things. and she in turn is so sweet, and mostly gentle, to her brother! she is always engaging him in her activities...especially when she doesn't know we are watching. she is constantly telling me of her love for him and how much fun he is. i hope it lasts! they really are too cute! how blessed are we??!!
