where a kid can be a kid!

yes, that's right...we braved Chuck E. Cheese (CEC) for the first time since becoming parents.



it was so much fun! i guess CEC has a little stigma attached to it...scary, busy, loud and crazy, but it was a really fun time! i have to say we will do it again. plus we went on a saturday, at lunch, in the winter, so that's saying something! and we only got flipped off once while we were in the parking lot, so i think we must call it a success! and we got cupcakes at the end...never a bad thing!!

we went to celebrate one of our favorite guys and his 5th birthday! very fun! happy birthday ian!



matilda really had a fun time! david was so wonderful to take her around to all the games and she really loved having her own cup with her own tokens (thank you lythgoe's!!). very fun! she also loved spending time with her friends and watching all the people that were having fun. she is such a funny girl!!

she wasn't too sure about the slide...maybe we need to work on feeling the wind in our hair a bit more!!



and the greatest game of all...putting the token in the broken game and having it come right back out...it did prove for lots of satisfying fun! i think they stood there for 15 minutes playing that one!



but then she discovered...SKI-BALL!! this quickly became the new favorite CEC pastime!! david was so excited that he taught her how to do the proper technique. i think we both got a kick out her trying to roll the ball and then having it come back. so fun! that girl loves to play ball! she's a natural!
