#1...see it!

during our trip to california, we decided to visit the aquarium of the pacific. we've talked about going to an aquarium for a while, since we figured matilda would LOVE it, so it was fun to finally be able to take her.

it was a nice sized aquarium, one that didn't take all day, but you still felt like you got to see a lot of things...perfect for a toddler!

we started out be seeing the sea lion/seal show. and boy did that girl think it was awesome!





and she just loved the water and watching all the fish swimming in front of her.



it was very exciting...



...and very calming.



david and matilda especially loved the tide pools where they could touch the rays and the sharks. i think we spent almost an hour there! it was such a fun "hands on" place to go!







and last, but not least, we finally found the underwater observatory so that we could see the seals. and all we heard the whole time from matilda was...



...see it!, see it!, see it!!


she could not get enough of watching that seal. she just kept pointing and yelling. it was so cute! so, i guess we will have to get a pet seal soon...or maybe just go to the aquarium more often!
