a graveyard is my playground...
...quite the title, but i think one little girl i know definitely feels that way!
in the five years that we've lived here, we have taken to walking down our country road almost every night, hanging a right, and continuing on to Nathan Hale Cemetery. weird, i know. but we have found that the cemetery is peaceful, interesting, has a great winding road throughout, and borders the ever beautiful Coventry Lake.

and while we walk we often talk about how wonderful it is to live in new england. how much we love its beauty and history and how our house is in just the right location for us right now. we have been so blessed to live here. and to think, when we first started these walks, it was just the two of us. we would walk, talk, and look at all the wonderful old names that were on the headstones and dream of someday being able to have little ones of our own with fun names. finally the blessings began and we added Roxy, and Matilda, then Charlie. and hopefully there will be at least one more...someday...and we've already started thinking about some names...hmmmm...a cemetary...a place for dreaming and a place for seeing them come to life...
...not such a crazy place after all.

We love the cemetery. It *is* a great place for walks...peaceful with lots of winding trails, typically. Tycen loves to point to all the letters. The older kids like to see if they can find people buried there who share their birthdays. Fun for all, I say. But I have been described as weird a time or two...
We like the cemetery too. They have so much history and I also love checking out the names on the stones.
love M's yellow crocs!! glad you enjoy walking through the cemetery. my mother used to take us to a really beautiful cemetery when we were teenagers. i think my sister and i mocked her quite a bit for that, but i guess it wasn't as crazy as we thought.
