charlie's blessing day
we blessed our sweet little boy on 21 June 09...father's day. how appropriate!
david did such a nice job giving him a name and a blessing. in our church we do this when they are babies and officially record their birth on the records of the church. charlie was blessed with a strong will to follow the commandments, to help those in need, to have a strong and clever intellect and a tender heart.
we travelled to pennsylvania for the blessing. michelle and quinton also blessed baby ivy that day. it was so amazing to be able to have my father and quinton there to participate...along with a few other PA friends. it was such a special day! we are truly very blessed! {my two boys, 21 june 09}
what a big boy! and so handsome! charlie was blessed in the same gown that matilda was blessed in. i think he looked too cute! we bought this gown in Belgium when we traveled there so many years ago. i just couldn't resist. we thought it would be fun to have a traditional blessing gown to pass down to them...even though we were childless at the time. there was always the HOPE of having these precious babies though...and now they are here! our miracle babies! i still can't believe that they are ours!
my nieces kept telling me how charlie looked like a girl because he was wearing a dress. it was all very concerning to them. but, he didn't seem to mind. he was actually very happy to be looking so decked out!
i also LOVE the detailing on this gown...and his tiny little hands! why do they grow so quickly? i feel myself trying to suck in all of his delicious yumminess every day!
so, this is charles robert michael sorich...aka...buggy boy, charles von wigglesworth, charlie boy, biggie boy, char-lee, bugaloo, and baby boy...
isn't he lovely? i think so!
{ps...sadly enough i am writing about charlie's blessing day before i have written about his birth day. one step at a time, i say!}

What an awesome experience you guys had. You both have two adorable and sweet children but it's because of who their parents are that makes them what they are.
I love the idea of the dress being past down from generation to generation. I have a picture of my dad in his blessing gown and it's so sweet.
how fun to see his blessing photos. he looks adorable. i'm so glad that the hope of children has become a reality!! you're such a great mom.
