utah...in parts...1

...the county fair...

this may not sound like a big deal to some people...but to an almost 3 year old...it is! we have been talking about the fair for the past few weeks. apparently princesses go to the fair when you tell stories about them...who knew? so, this is what all the hype was about!

explaining some of the ag-science behind the fair...very educational! and surprisingly to us...matilda wasn't afraid to go up and touch all the animals by herself. david and i just kept looking at each other in amazement wondering who this new person was...maybe it was her utah alter-ego.



i just loved this picture. the contrast of soft and hard is so apparent here. such pristine sheep waiting to be judged. and i am loving the whole western farm attire. but, my most favorite bit is down in the left corner...the plaid wellies...oh my!



okay...he is just sweet!!



daddy helped m to have the courage to pet the baby bunny. she loved it, of course!



we spent quite a bit of time in the bunny section looking for a little bunny that was exactly like buttercup...a white bunny from one of matilda's favorite books. it was really fun to see her little mind working so that she could find just the right one. she is really growing up!

and that was the fair...it started to rain...it was lunch...and naptime...so we headed back home. but don't worry...we think/talk about it all the time. because, don't forget...that is where ALL the princesses go.
