busy as bees

spring has brought us such nice and crazy weather lately.  and we have been taking advantage of it!  we were so productive last weekend and got lots accomplished...finally!  

david attached lattice to the deck...and has given us some safety and a little freedom.  now i can let the kids out on the deck without having to worry that they will fall through the slats!

and as you can see Charlie has already figured out that you can put things underneath and overtop...he is so clever!  i love Matilda's face here...she is either informing me that he is doing something naughty or saying "now you can take my picture mom!".

we also washed all the outside toys...including the pool {not pictured}.  the kids played in it for hours on saturday...it was GREAT!!  

Charlie is officially addicted to blackberries...and this is how he looks a few times throughout the day.  i can't even control him.  i have found lots of blackberry juice smears on the walls already {see Natalie...you're not alone!}  

he is obsessed.  he will even stop crying and cheer up for a few blackberries...not a bad price, i say!

Matilda went to deliver May day flowers with her preschool this week at an assisted living facility.  they were so cute!  they sang the cutest song to the tune of "the Farmer in the Dell"...it goes like this...

in an attempt to help us save some money on breakfast cereal...i made granola this week.  we have been eating a lot of it for breakfast lately and i thought it would be good to try to make it.  then i would also have some control of the ingredients as well.  i will post a recipe next week...it is so easy to make...and it was yummy!!

but sometimes your children look like this while you take the time to make the granola...aren't they cute!

and Charlie has been teething like a champ this week!  he is mr. moody...up and down...and it is kind of crazy to have him not be mellow.  hopefully those teeth will bust through soon!

but...when he's cute, he's cute!

and just a little sweetness...i snapped this after an exhausting day...aren't they so cute??!!  i love my guys!
