who wants some cake?

...seriously!!!???

this post is all about cake.

i noticed this week that i am always baking up something.  i find it very therapeutic and a little bit of a curse {just a little}.  this year i discovered that you can use piping to spruce up your regular, every day cake and make it something to behold.

this is where the curse comes in.

i know i don't have to make everything a masterpiece.  typically i don't.  but the challenge is out there.  i have put the gauntlet before myself.  what was i thinking?

so
i give you
the year of cake
by lara

matilda's princess birthday
{with cut out fondant figures and with help from my 3 yr. old assistant who was very particular about the placement of everything...imagine that!}

preschool christmas party
{with the little people nativity set on top and candles for Jesus' birthday, of course}

charlie's birthday
{went easy on this one with a powdered sugared "C"...

...and mini cupcakes}

preschool tea party
{ladybug cake...a mess...but yummy!}

...and preschool teddy bear picnic cake.
{best yet!...i guess practice is helping!
ps...this bear totally got be-headed...it is so sad...but so GOOD!}

...stay tuned tomorrow for a my great banana cake recipe...seriously...it is to die for.

it is my most requested recipe EVER!  and it is easy to make to boot...you will be a minor celebrity in your neighborhood with this baby in your repertoire!
