weekend...which one?

okay, i am so behind on blog posts...so, a quick update to ease my mind!!

we had such a fun weekend...last week! It was jam packed full of adventure and fun!

it all started innocently with a relaxing day with this little girl!



practicing her new trick...which she figured out all by herself!



then we got ready for our big date with daddy for a picnic lunch at the park.



where we had lots of fun on the swings.



and the seesaw. aren't they so cute!!



then we ran some errands and ended up here...

...at the Brooklyn Fair.



we got some dinner...a roast beef sandwich and a dog bowl full of fries...yum!!
for some reason there is nothing like a fair. they have the best food, the best people watching, and the best unexpected good time. it was so fun! as you can see...david was very happy!



even the cowgirl, the country girl, and the lawnmower boy loved it! and the ice cream!



that is one scary flower! they had the best play area for the kids. it had a place to play with corn kernals, a chance to practice picking apples and gathering eggs, and a great maze made from hay. it was so fun!



the best part was that the animals were so accessible. when you walked through the barns it was amazing how everyone wanted you to touch their animals and really be a part of the farm. it was really wonderful to have that experience...i think we will definitely go again next year! plus, they had lawn mower races...how cool is that? all the big boys loved that!

and the three mom's thought that this was eerily familiar...the nursing mama pig. too funny. she was so sweet. she just layed there all tired and passed out...how some of us really feel when we have newborns...while her little piglets just poked and prodded her looking for the milk. there was even one asleep at the teet. and then we saw these two...cuddling together. it just melts your heart. i'm glad we don't have room on OUR farm for a piglet...because i was so tempted by how sweet they were!



and then Saturday came. we rose early to tons of tag sale traffic on our street. gotta love all those people out for a deal at 7am!! it actually reminded me of our big neighborhood garage sales that would happen once a year while growing up in the 'burg. my friends and sisters and i would always be trying to sell lemonade and snowcones...made by the snoopy snowcone machine! we would always wake up early that day, so excited to be able to have an adventure and see what the day would bring. it was a fun way to start our Saturday.

then we went to this place.

and with some help... and a hubster to watch the help...




you end up looking like this....but...




...we picked 10 pounds...in one hour!! we actually set the record at the orchard for that day....yea!! i think we will be happy in the winter when we have fresh blueberries for those pancakes on Sunday morning!




and then we ended the day with a fun play date with Matilda's friend Thomas! he is the sweetest boy! we actually know each other from our Childbirth Class that we were all in this time last year. It was so fun to see them together a year later. And it is also fun because they were very cute together. And we ate Thai food...one of our top choices. Thanks Heidi and Jeff!! We'll have to do it again soon!!



and now we are off this weekend...to here...good old Mechanicsburg....hopefully i'll be more on top of things this week!
