are you a pirate?

...we might be now...after going to Riley's birthday party!!

We had so much fun celebrating Riley's 4th birthday! It seems like just yesterday she was a newborn! Time flies!! In honor of Riley....4 things...

1. Riley always loves to make things with me! We always cook together and she has always wanted to help me ever since she was little...I love that! She is very interested in the way things work. I couldn't believe that when she was 1 she wanted to help me make Christmas cookies...what a girl!! She is so cool!

2. Riley loves to share make-up time with me...and I love it! She is my favorite friend when it comes to looking beautiful and smelling good!! And she remembers all the things we do in our beauty routine...she is such a supermodel!

3. Riley loves to love. She has always loved being cuddled...at least by me...and she will always be your friend...especially when you need it!

4. Riley has the sweetest giggle! Ever since she was little she has always cracked me up with her laugh...it is contagious! I remember so many times when Riley, Avery, and I would be hiding under the blankets playing and waiting for monsters to get us....it is so fun! And she would just be giggling!!

Happy Birthday Riley...we hope you have a great year!!


As for the party...I was given very strict instructions about what to take pictures of!! So, here we go!

This is the seating/eating situation. On Nana and Papa's "veranda"....very nice!

And the kid table...aren't they cute!! Roxy really loved clean up duty under their table!

Miss M finally learned how to hold that bottle by herself...YEA!! She is really very grown up!



We tested our true Pirate abilities by walking the plank...



...proving we have the moves at a dance party...



...and going on a treasure hunt for coins and jewels!!



I think Papa found the most!! He is really great at Pirate things!!



Look at that cake!! Luckily Riley's dad is an artist!



And Riley made sure to set up two chairs next to each other for her and Papa. She called them her "buddy seats". Yes, we are all just chopped liver compared to Papa!! Those two have some kind of crazy bond we will never understand...they are very cute together!!



Arrrrrrrrrr, matey....ahoy...what can you really see with one eye? She's a natural!!



We also got Riley a Pirate flag and a Pirate guy at the Renaissance Fair...it was a hit!!



Isn't she the sweetest girl! Nana got her this beautiful nightgown with Cinderella on it. She was so excited to model it for us! Happy Birthday Riley!! We sure do love you so much!! And we're glad you love Pirate's too! ARRRRRRRRRR!!
