aunt sara comes to town...with fasnachts
yea!! the famous aunt sara completed the last leg of her post-mission tour here in CT!! it was so great to have her here and just in time for one of our favorite holidays........FASNACHT DAY!! (aka...fat tuesday, the day before lent, shrove tuesday, donut day, pancake day...yada yada...)
check out this feast!!
we had some good eats...quiche, pancakes, sausage (aka...Perry Bowes food), hashbrowns, and of course, donuts for dessert!!
some cute and happy fasnachters!
unfortunately david missed the festivities, so sara stepped in and manned his position at the griddle making all the lovely pancakes...she is the best!!
the spoils...
flashback...ye olde fasnacht day 2007...doesn't miss m look sooooo little??? and ps...i have the same hairdo...weird!!
the cleanup...she REALLY did not like the glaze on her hands from all the fasnachting...apparently it is genetic. the hubster informed me that this is why he does not like glazed donuts...what a bunch of kooks!!
see those chompers...it's not easy being 1, AHHH, teeth, when does it end??!! but, she is so cute!
M also figured out her new, most favorite place in the house, the fireplace ledge. she spends a lot of her time there, which i think is so very sweet!
she just loves to climb up there by her book bin and just read and read. and sometimes she will bring her little friends with her. i just love her!
We did so many fun things while Sara was here...
...one rainy day we had a reading fest...or maybe Miss M just wanted to be like her Aunt Sara??!!...
...see...
...then her first piano lessons...
...and a trip to Boston...
...to our #1 place of all time...
...for some serious num-a-num...
...that's right, Wagamama!!!
And to top it all of, a funny phone call on the way home about this word jumble...
...which did happen to be CAMPER!! (good job those that got it!!) and stop by for your complimentary cake anytime!!
So, we had tons of fun...two sisters and one little girl! Miss Pennsylvania is really the best! We sure do love her!!
