#7 town festival

every year our town has a fun little festival, which conveniently takes place at the beach/park at the end of our street. it is so much fun. small, but fun.

she finally conquered her slide "issues" and was loving the "whee" as we lovingly refer to it now.



some fun friends joined us and kept us laughing at their new discovery...cotton candy!





which matilda loved and is now a big fan of...it is so funny to think that this is her first time to try it...how great to be little and experience things for the first time!

after bathtime, and right before bed, the fireworks began. matilda had never seen them before...just experienced them in-utero...where she totally freaked out! so we took her into the middle of our street where there was a clear view of the waterfront. it was so dark, we couldn't see anything. and suddenly the whole sky was lit up! it was so amazing! and matilda loved the show. she was very sad that it had to end! i will never forget that fun memory of the three of us, standing there in the middle of the street...enjoying each other, the summer, and something new.
