spt

i have been wanting to join in on spt for my whole blogging life...so, i decided that this fall i would start fresh and try to have a little bit of ME on this blog again. although it is fun to document our family...i am feeling pregnant and full of myself...literally! so, here goes...
i am totally inspired by amy karol of angry chicken. she wrote "bend the rules sewing" and i have made a ton of the projects in there. i always feel bad copying ideas...but, that's why blogs are so great...we get to learn from each other and become better and inspired to fuel our own creativity.
in her book there is this darling woodland elf hat. i LOVE it! and i have gotten so many compliments on it everywhere matilda wears it...i tweaked her pattern a little and added my own touches, so i feel like it is mine in some way...which makes me feel great! thank heaven for blogs!
and to catch up on the two weeks i missed already...
i really love jordan's take on decorating and the way she views things as simple and modern, but yet fun and interesting. i did my little take on her candle idea for the fall.
and another one from jordan, which i think she got from martha stewart...these cute pom-poms which i made for a going away party last spring. it really felt great to make something so eye-catching, but also so easy!
thanks to sweet amanda for inspiring me with her posts on spt. she makes me smile each time i read hers and it makes me want to see myself that way.
and thanks lelly for the inspiration and for keeping me thinking! i am excited to see what comes next!

Hey girl. I'm glad you're joining..we can collaborate ideas. Sometimes {like this month} I've been stumped, other times it comes so easy.
