#9 gma and gpa
this summer we got to visit with david's parent's...aka...grandma and grandpa. we had such a fun time while they were here. and they helped us with lots of projects around the house...which was such blessing!
we also had a chance to do a bit of traveling as well. we went to gillette castle
gillette was such a showman and his home reflected that. he was best known for his portrayal as sherlock holmes on stage...he was the first to play him and supposedly the pipe and hat come from gillette's interpretaion of the character.
i loved all the lemon colors in the kitchen!! so cute!
and every room had some sort of wall decoration with this twine thatching. it was very interesting how you can decorate with such an unexpected material.
the house looks so interesting from the outside and the inside...but i would live there just for the view!! it was breathtaking!
i love this picture! it reminds me of summer! her sweet face and bouncy curls!! what a darling little girl!
this week also represented the beginning of matilda and roxy's sisterly playing relationship. roxy will follow her and lick her, which matilda calls "tickles" and they will play and chase and just enjoy being together. i love it!
david and his dad also spent a good portion of the weekend watching this crazy turkey who flew up in the tree out back. he stayed for almost 24 hours, i think, and finally left when no one was looking...
...while kathy and i were so happy to go to the brimfield antique show!! it was so fun! i will have to go again next year...maybe in the spring when it is a little cooler! it is an amazing site to see!
we were so happy to have grandma and grandpa visit!!
